Raintree Village is an apartment complex located at 6651 Ranchview Dr NW, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The complex is owned and operated by Shelter Canadian Properties. This page will cover Building C. The building was built in 1977, and the fire alarm system was partially upgraded in 2025; initiating devices were not replaced during this upgrade. The old FACP was donated to a local enthusiast as part of our Fire Alarmpedia Cares program.
System Specifications
FACP
The building is protected by an Edwards FireShield Plus FSP502G conventional fire alarm system. The panel is located at the main entrance of C1. The system coding is temporal.
This panel replaced a Mircom FA-1025A.
Notification Appliances
All notification appliances are Kidde "Genesis" EG1AVRF horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, FIRE marking, set to 15cd), mounted on Edwards G1TR trim plates.
Former Notification Appliances:
All notification appliances but two were Edwards 439D-10AWC vibrating bells (10" gong).
There were two Edwards "Adaptabel" 343D vibrating bells (10" gong) installed, which were original.

Pull Stations
All pull stations are Edwards 270-SPO conventional single-action pull stations.
Automatic Detection Devices
There are System Sensor C2W-BA conventional photoelectric smoke detectors in the corridors on each floor.
There are FDD CR-135 conventional 135°F fixed-temperature/rate-of-rise heat detectors at the top of each stairwell.
There are Potter CF-200W conventional 200°F fixed-temperature heat detectors in all mechanical rooms.
There are Potter CF-135W conventional 135°F fixed-temperature heat detectors in all laundry rooms.
There are Mirtone 73330 conventional 135°F fixed-temperature heat detectors in all electrical rooms.
EOLs
All end of line resistors on this system are mounted in field devices.
