Iron Mountain is an information destruction corporation with many locations. This page will cover the Central Edmonton facility, located at 14422 121A Ave NW, in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The building was built in 1974, and the fire alarm system was installed in 1988, and was upgraded in 2010.

System Specifications (2010-present)

FACP

The building is protected by a Notifier NFS2-640C hybrid-addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located in the warehouse. The system runs Notifier's FlashScan addressable protocol, and the system coding is temporal.

Booster Panels

There is a Notifier ACPS-610 addressable booster power supply next to the main FACP.

Notification Appliances

Most notification appliances are System Sensor "SpectrAlert Advance" P2RA horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, set to 15cd).
There is one Mirtone 74306 motor bell (10" gong) on the system.
There are Fenwal AMT-24MCW-FR horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, bell for ALERT, march time horn for ACTION) for VESDA indication.

Initiating Devices

Pull Stations

Most pull stations are a mix of Notifier MPS-950B, Honeywell FM950B, Mircom MS-401 and Mirtone 73303 conventional single-action pull stations, wired to Notifier FMM-101A addressable monitor modules.
There is a Notifier NBG-12LX addressable dual-action pull station at one entrance as a deficiency replacement.

Automatic Detection Devices

There are Simplex 2098-9110 conventional ionization smoke detectors throughout the central warehouse.
There are Notifier FSP-851A addressable photoelectric smoke detectors in the lunchroom, mounted on Notifier B710LPA bases.

Modules

There are Notifier FMM-1A addressable monitor modules supervising the sprinkler system's tamper and flow switches.

EOLs

There are a mix of Notifier EOL-CR and Mircom MP-300 end of line resistor plates on all sprinkler and signal circuits.
