Britannia Crossing is an office building located at 5119 Elbow Dr SW, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The building is owned and operated by Opus Corp. The building was built in 2014, and the fire alarm system is original.

System Specifications

FACP

The building is protected by an Edwards EST3X addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located in the main floor security room. The system runs Edwards' Signature addressable protocol, and is configured for two-stage operation. The alert signal coding is 20BPM, and the alarm signal coding is temporal.

Annunciators

There is an Edwards RLED-C annunciator in the main entrance vestibule.

Booster Panels

There are Edwards BPS6AC 6-amp booster power supplies in the electrical rooms on P1, the main floor, the third floor, and the fifth floor.

Notification Appliances

Most notification appliances are Edwards "Genesis" G1R-HDVM horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, no marking, set to 15cd), with some G1RF-HDVM horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, FIRE marking, set to 15cd) also installed.
Some areas have Edwards GC-HDVM horn/strobes (white, ceiling-mount, no marking, set to 15cd).
For outdoor notification, there is an Edwards CS405-7A-T weatherproof remote strobe (red, 15/75cd) outside the main entrance.

Initiating Devices

Pull Stations

All pull stations are EST SIGA-270P addressable two-stage single-action pull stations.

Automatic Detection Devices

There are EST SIGA2-PS addressable photoelectric smoke detectors throughout the third floor, at the top of each stairwell, at the top of the elevator shaft, in the elevator lobbies of levels P2-4, and in other areas.
There are EST SIGA2-HRS addressable 135°F fixed-temperature/rate-of-rise heat detectors in all kitchens and in the 5th floor elevator lobby.
All aforementioned detectors are mounted on EST SIGA-SB bases.
There is a duct smoke detector on the 3rd floor, model unknown.

Modules

There are EST SIGA-CT2 addressable dual-input monitor modules supervising the sprinkler system's tamper and flow switches, with one additional module triggering all booster panels.
There are EST SIGA-CT1 addressable monitor modules supervising all kitchen suppression systems.
There are EST SIGA-CR addressable relay modules serving various purposes.
There are EST SIGA-IM addressable isolator modules on both SLCs.

EOLs

There are Edwards EOL-P1 end of line resistor plates on all kitchen suppression, sprinkler and signal circuits.
