Old Sun Community College is a community college located in Siksika Nation, Alberta, Canada. The college primarily serves members of the Siksika Nation Tribe. The building was built in the 1950s, and the fire alarm system was upgraded in the 2000s.

System Specifications (2000s-present)

FACP

The building is protected by a Notifier NFS-320C addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located in the main entrance vestibule. The system runs Notifier's FlashScan addressable protocol, and the system coding is temporal.

Notification Appliances

All notification appliances are System Sensor "SpectrAlert" P2415A horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, 15cd).

Initiating Devices

Pull Stations

All pull stations are Notifier MPS-950B conventional single-action pull stations, wired to Notifier FMM-101A addressable monitor modules.

Automatic Detection Devices

There are Notifier FSI-851A addressable ionization smoke detectors throughout all corridors, in some rooms, and at the top of each stairwell.
There are Notifier FST-751RA addressable 135°F fixed-temperature/rate-of-rise heat detectors in all storage rooms, and at the top and bottom of the elevator shaft.
There are Notifier FST-851RA addressable 135°F fixed-temperature/rate-of-rise heat detectors in some areas.
There are Notifier FST-851HA addressable 190°F fixed-temperature heat detectors in the kitchen.
All aforementioned detectors are mounted on a mix of Notifier B710LPA and BX501 bases.
There is an FDD CF-200 conventional 200°F fixed-temperature heat detector in the boiler room, wired to a Notifier FMM-101A addressable monitor module.

Ancillary Devices

There are fire door magnets on this system which are connected to the FACP's alarm relay.

EOLs

There are Edwards EOL-P1 end of line resistor plates on all signal circuits.
