The Manor Village at Fish Creek Park is a retirement home located at 22 Shawnee Hill SW, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The building was built in 2016, and the fire alarm system is original.

System Specifications

Please note that this information is accurate to 2019, however it should still be accurate.

FACP

The building is protected by an Edwards EST3 addressable fire alarm system. This is a networked system; the main node is located in the main floor fire control room, and nodes are located at all nurse's stations and at the main entrance. The system runs Edwards' Signature addressable protocol, is equipped with voice evacuation, and is configured for two-stage operation. The alert signal coding is 20BPM, and the alarm signal coding is temporal. It is unknown if there are voice messages on this system.

Notification Appliances

Most notification appliances are Edwards "Genesis" G4-S7VM speaker/strobes (white, wall-mount, no marking, 70V, set to 15cd).
Some areas have Edwards G1-VM remote strobes (white, wall-mount, no marking, set to 15cd).

Initiating Devices

Pull Stations

All pull stations are EST SIGA-270P addressable two-stage single-action pull stations.

Automatic Detection Devices

There are Edwards SIGA-PD addressable photoelectric smoke detectors throughout most areas, mounted on Edwards SIGA-SB bases.
There are EST "SuperDuct" SIGA-SD addressable photoelectric duct smoke detectors on all air handling units.
There are FDD CR-135 conventional 135°F fixed-temperature/rate-of-rise heat detectors in the generator room.

Modules

There are EST SIGA-CT1 addressable monitor modules supervising the generator room heat detectors, the generator and fire pump's run/trouble contacts, the kitchen suppression system, and the sprinkler system's tamper and flow switches.
There are EST SIGA-CR addressable relay modules serving various purposes.
There are EST SIGA-IM addressable isolator modules on all SLCs.

EOLs

There are Edwards EOL-P1 end of line resistor plates on all circuits supervised by monitor modules, and on all signal circuits.
