WinSport, also known as Canada Olympic Park is a ski hill and multi-purpose training and competition facility located in Calgary. It is located off of 16 Ave NW, but is in SW Calgary. This page will cover the Frank King Day Lodge, the main daylodge of the resort. The lodge was built in 1988, and everything except for the panel is original. The fire alarm system is networked to the one in the adjacent Markin MacPhail Centre.

System Specifications

FACP

The fire alarm panel is a rather large Siemens FireFinder XLS. It is located behind the Guest Services Desk, and replaced the original Edwards 6500 around 2012. The panel is very big, but that may have been to fill up the 6500's space.
Fun Fact: The panel was replaced when the Markin MacPhail Centre opened its doors. The panels needed to be networked for some reason, and the 6500 could not be networked to the new system in that building.

Notification Appliances

The notification appliances are Edwards 439D-6AWC vibrating bells. They are original to the building, however beside the bell near the Guest Services entrance, there is an Edwards "Adaptahorn" 884D-N5 (red, FIRE rated) horn, which is also original, but it is not in use as it is 120VAC, and the bells being 24VDC. In the cafeteria on the second floor, there is an Edwards 439D-10AWC on a 405-5A-R strobe plate, and a Mircom BL-10B on a Mircom strobe plate (model unknown).

Initiating Devices

Pull Stations

The pull stations are Edwards 275-C111, also original. There has only been one replacement spotted, which was by the cafeteria exit to the balcony. This replacement was an Edwards 270-SPO, from the 2000s.

Automatic Detection Devices

None noticed.
