Simplex Time Recorder Co. was a building systems manufacturer founded in 1894 by Edward G. Watkins. They designed and built many classic panels such as the 4100, 4002, 2001 among many others. They are also famous for their iconic "T-bar" pull station introduced circa 1970 and still manufactured today. Unfortunately, in 2001 Simplex was purchased by Tyco for $1.15 billion dollars and was merged with Grinnell to make SimplexGrinnell.
