Midnapore Mall is a strip mall in Midnapore, Calgary built in 1979 as an indoor shopping mall. In 2000 the building was converted to a strip-type mall. The system just recently underwent a complete overhaul and there are no original devices left.

System Specifications

FACP

The panel is likely either a Notifier NFS-320C or NFS2-640C installed in 2021. It is located in an electrical room inside the professional building.

Notification Appliances

The notification appliances are System Sensor "L-Series" P2RLA (red, 2-wire, bilingual, wall) horn-strobes installed throughout each space.

Initiating Devices

Pull Stations

The pull stations are all Notifier N-MPS-SA addressable single-action pull stations.

Automatic Detection Devices

None were identified during the last visit but should be present. As the old system had them.

Former System Specifications

FACP

The panel was a Mircom FA-1000 installed in a Professional Building electrical room. Possibly installed during the 2000 conversion.

Notification Appliances

The notification appliances were a mix of mostly Edwards 439D-6AWC (6", Vibrating) bells with some replacement Mircom BL-6B (6", motorized) bells throughout.

Initiating Devices

Pull Stations

The pull stations were all Mircom MS-401 (single action, conventional) pull stations.

Automatic Detection Devices

Most noticed were Mircom C2W-BA (photo, smoke) (System Sensor Rebrand) which is odd because they were not released until sometime after 2000.
