'Boston Pizza' is Canada's largest chain of casual dining restaurants. This particular restaurant is located in the Meridian neighbourhood of Northeast Calgary, and was built in 2007. The fire alarm system is not original.

System Specifications

FACP

The restaurant is protected by a Simplex 4007ES conventional fire alarm system. This panel is a hybrid addressable panel, which means that it can be either addressable or conventional, depending on the cards inside the panel. This particular panel is conventional. It is located in the main entrance, and likely replaced either an Edwards Fireshield or a Mircom FA-1000.

Notification Appliances

Most notification appliances are Edwards 439D-6AWC vibrating bells (6" gong, red) on Edwards 403-5A-R strobe plates (15 candela). In the party room, there is a General Signal MB6-24 motor bell on an Edwards 403-5A-R strobe plate. The 439D bells are original, but it is unknown if the General Signal bell is.

Initiating Devices

Pull Stations

The only pull station spotted was a Mircom MS-401, which was in the main entrance. It is from before 2013, based on the logo. It is unknown what the other pull stations are, or if this one is original.

Automatic Detection Devices

None noticed.
