The Home Depot is an American hardware store franchise, with locations all over North America. This particular location is in the Shawnessy area of Southwest Calgary. The building was built in 1998, and most of the system is original. The fire alarm system here is basically the same as the Mackenzie location, but conventional.
System Specifications
FACP
The fire alarm panel is a Notifier System 500, judging by the annunciator. The main panel is not visible, but it is original to the building.
Annunciators
There is a Notifier AFM-16AT annunciator at the entrance, which is also original.
Notification Appliances
The notification appliances are mainly the original System Sensor "SpectrAlert" P1224MC (red, wall, multi-candela) horn/strobes. The restrooms have System Sensor "SpectrAlert" S1224MC (red, wall, multi-candela) strobes. Some of the original horn/strobes have been replaced with Mircom FHS-240R horn/strobes.
Initiating Devices
Pull Stations
The pull stations are mostly the original Notifier MPS-950B pull stations. Replacement pull stations include a Simplex MS-301C in the exit, and a Tyco/Grinnell MS-401.
Automatic Detection Devices
None noticed, likely due to high ceilings.
Bonus Information
This store uses System Sensor "SpectrAlert" H12/24W (white) remote horns as door alarms, which are also original. They are set to code 3, electromechanical, which likely causes issues, since the fire alarms most likely sound exactly the same, but they are not connected to the fire alarm system.
