'Hudson's Bay' is a chain of department stores across Canada. It is owned and operated by the Hudson's Bay Company, the oldest company in North America. This particular location is attached to Southcentre Mall, which is located in the Willow Park neighborhood of Southeast Calgary. The store opened at the same time as the mall, in 1974. The system is not original. NOTE: All systems in Southcentre Mall are networked to trip each other in alarm.
System Specifications
FACP
The store is protected by a Mircom FX-2000 addressable fire alarm system. The panel location is unknown, but the annunciators indicate that it is an FX-2000. The system was installed in about 2006, and replaced a Simplex 4208. The system coding is unknown at this time.
Annunciators
There are two Mircom BB-1002D annunciator enclosures with RAX-LCD (LCD) RAX-1032TZD (LED) annunciator modules inside. One is at the north entrance on the first floor, the other is at the West entrance on the second floor. Next to the second floor annunciator, there is a disconnected Simplex 4208 annunciator (model unknown), which is the only remaining device from the original system.
Notification Appliances
Most notification appliances are Mircom BL-10B 10" motor bells. Some of these bells have failed, and were replaced with Simplex 2901-9724 10" motor bells. Unlike the rest of the mall, there are no visual notification appliances in this store.
Initiating Devices
