FACP: Notifier NFS-320C System Type:Addressable System Line Voltage: 120VAC NAC Voltage:24VDC Date of last known Upgrade: 2020 Year Opened: 2004 |
40 Sunpark Plaza SE is a mixed-use 3-story office complex located in the Sundance neighborhood of SE Calgary. The first floor contains a doctor's office, a Shoppers Drug Mart, and formerly an optometrist. It was built in 2004, but received a system overhaul in 2020.
System Specifications
FACP
The building is protected by a Notifier NFS-320C addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located at the main entrance. This system runs on Notifier's FlashScan addressable protocol. The panel is set to continuous, but the notification appliances are self-coded to code 3.
Notification Appliances
All notification appliances are from System Sensor's "L Series" line of products. The hallways, offices, and most other areas have System Sensor P2RLA horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, bilingual). Other areas have System Sensor SRLA remote strobes. The strobes are set to 15 candela, and the horns are set to code 3 electromechanical. All strobes are synchronized .
Initiating Devices
Pull Stations
All pull stations are Notifier NBG-12LX addressable dual-action pull stations.
Automatic Detection Devices
There are Notifier FSP-851A addressable photoelectric smoke detectors located throughout the facility.
System Specifications (original system)
FACP
The original fire alarm panel was a Notifier AFP-200. It was removed in 2020 due to a potential NAC failure. However, the culprit was found to be bent prongs on the P2RA horn/strobes. Because it still worked, the AFP-200 was used as a demonstration panel for Viking Fire Protection until 2021. It is now owned by Yycsfirealarmnimrod, and is now in use in YYCsFireAlarmNimrod's Basement. This system ran on Notifier's CLIP protocol.
Notification Appliances
The notification appliances were System Sensor "SpectrAlert Advance" P2RA horn/strobes (red, wall-mount). They replaced System Sensor "SpectrAlert" P1224MCA horn/strobes sometime in the late 2010s. There was also a Mircom "Select-A-Horn" FHS-340R in the atrium, which got replaced as well.
Initiating Devices
Pull Stations
The pull stations were Notifier MPS-950B conventional "tab" pull stations. As these were conventional, they had Notifier MMX-101A addressable modules tied into them.
Automatic Detection Devices
There were Notifier FSP-851 addressable photoelectric smoke detectors located throughout the building, which were not original. These are likely still in use on the new system.
