'350R Shawville Boulevard SE' is a shopping plaza located in the Shawnessy shopping area. It is technically located in the Southeast quadrant of Calgary, but it is more commonly perceived as being in the Southwest. It contains Best Buy, Sport Chek, Michaels, and Staples. It was built in 1999, but it is unknown if the system is original. The pull stations and most of the bell/strobes are original, though.

System Specifications

FACP

The plaza is protected by an EST ESA2000 conventional fire alarm system, however this is unconfirmed. If this is true, the panel is original.

Notification Appliances

The main notification appliances in Best Buy and Staples are General Signal MB10-24 motor bells on EST "Integrity" 403-5A-R strobe plates. Michaels has a mix of General Signal MB6-24 motor bells on EST 403-5A-R strobe plates and Mircom BL-6A motor bells on Mircom strobe plates (model number to be confirmed). Sport Chek has only the General Signal MB6-24 motor bells and EST 403-5A-R strobe plates. All bell/strobes except for the Mircom ones are original. Outside the rear of the building, there are two System Sensor L-Series devices. One is a P2RLA (red, wall mount) horn/strobe, the other is an SRLA (red, wall mount) remote strobe. These are obviously not original.

Initiating Devices

Pull Stations

The pull stations are the original Edwards 270-SPO pull stations.

Automatic Detection Devices

None noticed.
