‘’’’Calgary Soccer Centre’’’’ is a fieldhouse located in the Foothills Industrial area of Southeast Calgary. There are two buildings here. One is the main building, built in 1990. The other is the annex, built in 2016. The annex’s system is entirely original, and the main building’s system is mostly original.
System Specifications (main building)
FACP
The building is protected by a Notifier NFS2-640C addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located at the main entrance, and was installed in 2016 when the annex opened. This panel is networked to the one in the annex. When in alarm, the system does code 3.
Notification Appliances
All notification appliances are Edwards 439D-10AWC vibrating bells (10” gong).
Initiating Devices
Pull Stations
Most pull stations are Edwards 275-C111 conventional single-action pull stations. Some of these pull stations have failed, and were replaced with Edwards 270-SPO conventional single-action “teardrop” pull stations.
Automatic Detection Devices
There are Notifier FSP-851A addressable photoelectric smoke detectors throughout the facility.
System Specifications (Annex)
FACP
The building is protected by a Notifier NFS2-640C addressable fire alarm system. This panel is located at the main entrance, and is original to the building. This panel is networked to the one in the main building. When in alarm, the system does code 3.
Notification Appliances
All notification appliances are from System Sensor’s “SpectrAlert Advance” line of products. The corridors and locker rooms have System Sensor P2RA horn/strobes (red, wall-mount) set on code 3, medium volume. The fields have System Sensor PC2RA horn/strobes (red, ceiling-mount) set on code 3, high volume.
