‘’’Hampton Inn & Suites’’’ is a chain of hotels owned by the Hilton group. They are headquartered in McLean, Virginia. This particular hotel is located in the Dartmouth Crossing shopping area of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada. It was built in 2009, and has the original fire alarm system.

System Specifications

FACP

The hotel is protected by an EST Quickstart QS4 addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located next to the front desk. The panel status was normal as of December 20, 2021. The system runs EST’s Signature-series addressable protocol, and does code 3 in alarm.

Notification Appliances

Most notification appliances are EST “Genesis” G1R-HDVM horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, no lettering). The guest rooms have EST SIGA-AB4G sounder bases, which sound locally when the room’s smoke detector activates, and will also sound in general alarm.

Initiating Devices

Pull Stations

All pull stations are EST SIGA-270 addressable single-action pull stations.

Automatic Detection Devices

There are EST SIGA-PS addressable photoelectric smoke detectors throughout the hotel. In the guest rooms, these are mounted on EST SIGA-AB4G sounder bases.
