‘’’Atlantic Superstore’’’ is a chain of grocery stores owned by Loblaws. They have locations in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and PEI. This particular store is located in Elmsdale, Nova Scotia. The building was likely built in the mid 1990s, and the fire alarm system is mostly original.

System Specifications

FACP

The store is protected by an EST iO500 addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located at the main entrance. This panel likely replaced an Edwards 6632 or ESA2000. The system runs EST’s Signature-series addressable protocol, and does either continuous or code 3 in alarm.

Notification Appliances

The storefront has General Signal MB10-24 motor bells (10” gong). There is one Edwards MB10-24 motor bell (10” gong) above the seafood counter, which likely replaced a failed General Signal bell. The staff areas and the first floor elevator lobby have General Signal MB6-24 motor bells (6” gong). These are also known as the General Signal 74303, and are manufactured by Mirtone.

Initiating Devices

Pull Stations

All pull stations are EST SIGC-270B bilingual single-action pull stations.

Automatic Detection Devices

The storefront is protected by a sprinkler system with waterflow detection. As such, no automatic detection devices are present.
