‘’’Fairfield Inn and Suites’’’ is a chain of lower midrange hotels owned by Marriott International. They are headquartered in Bethesda, Maryland, and have locations in Canada, the United States, Asia, and Central America. This particular hotel is located in Regina, Saskatchewan. This is one of the newer hotels in the city of Regina, having opened its doors in 2016. The fire alarm system is original.

System Specifications

Please note that this may not be 100% accurate, as the system info is sourced from Google Maps.

FACP

The hotel is protected by a Simplex 4010ES addressable fire alarm system. The panel location and model are unconfirmed, but the panel is likely located in the main entrance vestibule, and the model is speculated based on the size and age of the building. The system runs Simplex’s IDNet addressable protocol, and undoubtedly does code 3 in alarm.

Notification Appliances

The common areas of the hotel have Simplex “TrueAlert” notification appliances. There is a mix of Simplex 4906-9127 horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, 15cd), Simplex 4906-9101 remote strobes (red, wall-mount, 15cd), and Simplex 4906-9102 remote strobes (red, ceiling-mount, 15cd). The guest rooms have Simplex 4901-9859 mini horns (white, wall-mount, non-silenceable).

Initiating Devices

Pull Stations

All pull stations are Simplex 4099-9004 addressable single-action pull stations.

Automatic Detection Devices

There are Simplex “TrueAlarm” 4098-9714 addressable photoelectric smoke detectors throughout the hotel.
