‘’’Holiday Inn’’’ is a chain of midrange hotels owned by IHG. The chain is headquartered in Denham, England. This particular hotel is located in Miami, Florida. It opened its doors in 1950, but the fire alarm system is not original.

System Specifications

FACP

The hotel is protected by an EST3 addressable fire alarm system. The panel location is unknown, but the model has been confirmed by the initiating devices. The system runs EST’s Signature-series addressable protocol, and is voice evac.

Notification Appliances

The notification appliances vary throughout the hotel. The lobby has a mix of EST “Genesis” G4R-S7VM speaker/strobes (red, wall-mount, 70V), and Edwards “Integrity” 757-5A-SS70 speaker/strobes (red, wall-mount, 15cd, 70V). The corridors of the upper floors of the hotel have Wheelock E9075-WS-24-CF-W speaker/strobes (white, ceiling-mount, 70V, 1.5cd). The guest rooms have EST SIGA-PS smoke detectors mounted on EST SIGA-AB4G sounder bases.

Initiating Devices

Pull Stations

All pull stations are EST SIGA-278 addressable dual-action pull stations.

Automatic Detection Devices

There are EST SIGA-PS addressable photoelectric smoke detectors mounted on SIGA-AB4G sounder bases in the guest rooms. The common areas of the hotel have a mix of System Sensor 2400 conventional two-wire photoelectric direct-wire smoke detectors, and System Sensor 2151 conventional two-wire photoelectric plug-in smoke detectors.
