‘’’Calgary Municipal Building’’’ (also known as New City Hall) is a large government building in Downtown Calgary, Alberta. It houses the offices for most city employees, the municipal council chamber, and several services, such as payment offices. The building opened in 1985, and had its fire alarm system upgraded in the 2000s.

The building is protected by an EST3 addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located in a security office. The system is two-stage, voice-evac, and runs EST’s Signature-series addressable protocol.

Notification Appliances

Most notification appliances are Edwards 965-5A-8RW speaker/strobes (white, ceiling-mount, 8” driver, 15cd). Some lower-traffic areas have Edwards 965-5A-4RW speaker/strobes (white, ceiling-mount, 4” driver, 15cd).
