The University of Calgary Child Development Centre is a 4-story low rise building near the Alberta Children's Hospital, in NW Calgary off of Shaganappi Trail NW. The building was built in 2007, and everything is original, except for the panel.

System Specifications

FACP

The building is protected by a Simplex 4100ES addressable fire alarm system system. The panel(s) are located in the front entrance, and replaced the original Simplex 4100U. The 4100ES control unit is in the 4100U cabinet, with 4100ES stickers. It was replaced around 2014, not long after the building opened. The system has voice-evac capabilities, runs Simplex's IDNet addressable protocol, and the system does the slow whoop followed by the default message.

Notification Appliances

The notification appliances are Simplex "TrueAlert" 4906-9154 (white, ceiling mount, multi-candela) speaker/strobes.

Initiating Devices

Pull Stations

The pull stations are all Simplex 4099-9001 single action, addressable T-bar pull stations.

Automatic Detection Devices

The smoke detectors are Simplex 4098-9714 addressable photoelectric smoke detectors, mounted on 4098-9792 bases.
