Stu Peppard Arena is an arena located at 5300 19 St SW, Calgary. The arena was built in 1945, and is one of the oldest arenas in Calgary. It is unknown if the fire alarm components on the older system are original or not.
System Specifications (1990s/2000s-present)
FACP
The arena is protected by a Mircom FX-2000 addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located at the front entrance, and replaced a Notifier System 500. The system runs Mircom's CLIP addressable protocol, and the system coding is likely continuous due to the 2-wire bell/strobes.
Notification Appliances
The main notification appliances are mostly of Notifier KMS-6-24VDC/P motor bells (6" gong), with System Sensor SS24LO/SS24M strobes right beside them. However, the main arena, there's an Edwards "Durabel" 6100D (6" gong) vibrating bell, and an Edwards 439D-10AWC (10" gong) vibrating bell, both have a SS24LO strobe right beside them. Both bells may have been installed prior to the Notifier system. In the dressing rooms, there are Wheelock MBS-G10-24 motor bell/strobes (10" gong, 1.5cd, with one Mircom BL-10B (10" gong) motor bell on a Mircom strobe plate (model number to be confirmed) as a deficiency replacment. These were on the System 500, and are still existing at the arena. They were not replaced due to no building expansions.
Initiating Devices
Pull Stations
All of the pull stations consist of Mircom MS-401AD addressable pull stations. They most likely replaced Notifier MPS-950B pull stations, and were replaced to make the system fully addressable.
Automatic Detection Devices
The automatic detection devices consist of Mircom MIX-2251AD addressable photoelectric smoke detectors.
