Shoppers Drug Mart is a chain of pharmacies across Canada. They are owned by Loblaws, and most stores have large grocery departments, and also sell household electronics and other goods. This particular store is located in the Walden neighborhood of Southeast Calgary, and was built in 2011. The fire alarm system is original, and is serviced by PDS Fire Protection.

System Specifications

FACP

The building is protected by a Simplex 4010 addressable fire alarm system. The panel location is unknown, but the model was confirmed by PDS Fire Protection. The system runs Simplex’s IDNet addressable protocol, and the system coding is Temporal.

Annunciators

There is a Simplex 4606-9101 LCD annunciator at the main entrance.

Notification Appliances

All notification appliances are from Simplex’s "TrueAlert" line of products. Most alarms are Simplex 4906-9127 SmartSync horn/strobes (red, wall-mount). The beauty department, however, has Simplex 4906-9128 SmartSync horn/strobes (red, ceiling-mount).

Initiating Devices

Pull Stations

All pull stations are Simplex 4099-9001 addressable IDNet single-action pull stations.

Automatic Detection Devices

There are no detectors in the storefront, as the store is protected by a sprinkler system with waterflow detection.
