Ed’s Bowling is a bowling alley/arcade located at 8882 170 Street Northwest #2556, in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The establishment is attached to West Edmonton Mall. The establishment opened in 1996 as Red’s, became Ed’s Rec Room in 2006, and was renamed Ed’s Bowling in 2016. The fire alarm system is original, and is tied into the mall’s Simplex 4100U system as an addressable point.

The building is protected by a Notifier AFP-400 addressable fire alarm system. The panel location is unknown. The system runs Notifier’s CLIP addressable protocol, and the system coding is continuous.
Annunciators
There is a Notifier LCD-80 annunciator at the top of the stairs.
Notification Appliances
All notification appliances but one are a mix of Wheelock EHS-DL1 horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, 1.5cd) and System Sensor “Multi-Alert” MASS24LO sounder/strobes (red, wall-mount, set to 500hz). There is one System Sensor MA12/24 remote sounder (red, wall-mount, set to 500hz) in the lobby. The Simplex 2901-9723 bells in the entrance hallway are not attached to this system.

Pull Stations
All pull stations are Notifier NFM-950B conventional single-action pull stations. All stations are wired to Notifier MMX-101A addressable modules, located directly behind each station.
Automatic Detection Devices
There are Notifier CPX-551A addressable ionization smoke detectors throughout the building, mounted on Notifier BX501 bases.
