Fairfield Inn & Suites is a chain of midrange hotels owned by Marriott. The chain is headquartered in Bethesda, Maryland, USA, and has locations worldwide. This particular hotel is located at 602 Eckhardt Avenue West, in Penticton, British Columbia, Canada. The hotel opened in 2020, and the fire alarm system is original.

Known Activations

At around 4:00 PM on July 26, 2022, a fire broke out in the roof of a fourth-floor room. The sprinkler head in the room activated, and the fire alarm system was tripped. The entire hotel was safely evacuated, and no injuries were reported. The fire alarm system worked as intended during this emergency. The hotel reopened one week later.
