CrossIron Mills is a large outlet mall located at 261055 Crossiron Boulevard, in Rocky View County, Alberta, Canada. The mall is owned by Ivanhoe Cambridge, and has 17 anchor tenants, along with 206 stores and services. The building opened in 2009, and the fire alarm system is 95% original, with replacement parts being installed as deficiencies occur.

FACP

The building is protected by an Edwards EST3 addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located in the security office, adjacent to the food court. The system runs EST’s Signature-series addressable protocol, and is configured for two-stage operation. First stage coding is 20BPM, followed by temporal in general alarm. The general alarm timer length is five minutes.

There is an Edwards EST3-6ANN annunciator in the food court entrance vestibule.

Notification Appliances

The corridors of the mall have Edwards “Integrity” 757-7A-T horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, 15/75cd), along with Edwards 757-1A-T remote horns (red, wall-mount). The tenants have Edwards 757-5A-T horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, 15cd). All corridor notification appliances are ceiling-mounted, while notification appliances in the tenants are wall-mounted.
