Lowe's is a chain of hardware stores headquartered in Mooresville, North Carolina. This particular store is located in the McKenzie Towne neighborhood of Southeast Calgary. It was built in 2010, and has the original fire alarm system.

System Specifications

FACP

The building is protected by a Mircom FX-2000 addressable fire alarm system. The panel location is unknown, but confirmed by an annunciator. The system runs on Mircom’s CLIP addressable protocol, and does code 3 in alarm.

Annunciators

There is a Mircom BB-1002 annunciator enclosure at the main entrance. It contains two annunciator modules. One is an RAX-LCD LCD annunciator, the other is an RAM-1048TZDS 48-LED display annunciator.

Notification Appliances

All notification appliances in this store are made by Wheelock. Areas with walls nearby, including restrooms, have Wheelock AS-24MCW-FR horn/strobes (red, wall-mount). The main store area has Wheelock “Exceder” HSRC horn/strobes (red, ceiling-mount). This notification appliance setup is very common in Lowes stores across Canada, as both were in production at the time.

Initiating Devices

Pull Stations

All pull stations are Mircom MS-401AD addressable single-action “tab” pull stations.

Automatic Detection Devices

There are no detectors in the storefront, as that area is protected by a sprinkler system with waterflow detection.
