‘’’Ottawa Macdonald-Cartier Airport’’’ is an international airport located in Ottawa, Ontario. The airport is relatively small, with only 28 gates. The terminal was originally built in 2003, and was expanded in 2008. The fire alarm system is original.

System Specifications

FACP

The airport is protected by a Notifier NFS2-3030C addressable fire alarm system. The panel location and model are unconfirmed, but are based on the size and age of the building, along with the devices on the system. The system runs Notifier’s FlashScan addressable protocol, and is two-stage. Part of the system is voice evac, and the non-voice portion does 20BPM in first stage, followed by code 3 in general alarm.

Notification Appliances

The 2003 portion of the building has Wheelock MT4-12/24W horns (white, wall-mount), as well as Wheelock AH-12/24W horns (white, wall-mount). The 2008 expansion has System Sensor “SpectrAlert Advance” SPSCWA speaker/strobes (white, ceiling-mount). The parking garage has Notifier KMS-10-24A motor bells (10” gong).
