The University of Calgary has many interesting systems. This building, Kinesiology A, has the most interesting system.

Panel: The building originally had an Edwards 6500 from 1962. It was upgraded to a Simplex 4100ES in 2016 due to code requiring more detectors in the pool area and ductwork, and the 6500 not having enough zones to fulfill that requirement.

Pulls: Many pull stations are the original Edwards 270-SPOs, with the E logo that has a square shield. Some have been replaced by Simplex T-bars, either a 2099-9754 or a 4099-9001. A few newer 270-SPO pulls can be found throughout.

Signals: The signals are 100% original, and are red Edwards 360 Flush-mount Adaptahorns.

Smoke detectors: Unknown.

This system has been very, very reliable according to campus security. False alarms are extremely rare.
