The Edwards 2280 is an 8-zone conventional fire alarm control panel (FACP). It has four NACs. The 2280 has become very rare in Alberta, and it is very rare to see one still in operation. The 2280 was introduced in 1978, and discontinued in 1991, with a door style change around the mid-1980s. When an initiating device is activated, it instantly goes off, like a hardwired system. The only coding option for this panel was continuous.
