Edmonton International Airport (also called YEG Airport) is the airport that serves Edmonton. It is not located directly in Edmonton, however it is located in Leduc County. It was built in 1960, and was renovated most recently in 2016. The fire alarm system is from the 2016 renovation.

System Specifications

FACP

The airport is protected by a two-stage networked Simplex 4100ES fire alarm system. There are no annunciators spotted, and the panels are not visible, but judging by the size of the building and the pull stations, it is a Simplex 4100ES. It also seems to have voice-evac capabilities.

Notification Appliances

The notification appliances are mainly Wheelock E50-24MCW-FW (white, wall mount) speaker/strobes, which can be found throughout the airport. Low ceilings have Wheelock E60-24MCC-FW (white, ceiling mount) speaker/strobes. For additional sound coverage, there are Wheelock E50-W (white, wall mount) speakers and Wheelock E60-W (white, ceiling mount) speakers.

Initiating Devices

Pull Stations

The pull stations are Simplex 4099-9004CAB addressable bilingual two-stage IDNet pull stations with English/French lettering.

Automatic Detection Devices

There are Simplex 4098-9714 photoelectric addressable smoke detectors located throughout. [[]
