FACP

The building is protected by an Edwards 6500 conventional fire alarm system. The panel is located in a room behind the front desk. The system is configured for two-stage operation. First stage coding is 20BPM, followed by continuous in general alarm.

Notification Appliances

All notification appliances except for one are the original Edwards 439D-10AWC vibrating bells (10" gong). They are mounted behind grills in all common areas except for the parkade, pool area, basement and The Fireweed Grill. There is a Notifier KMS-6-24A motor bell (6" gong) on the third floor as a deficiency replacement.

Initiating Devices

Pull Stations

All pull stations are Edwards 275-C111 conventional pull stations. Despite being two-stage, two devices must be activated to go into general alarm.

Automatic Detection Devices

The smoke detectors are a mix of System Sensor 1412A ionization smoke detectors and Edwards 6264B ionization smoke detectors.
