Costco Wholesale (Beacon Hill)

From FireAlarmPedia

Costco is a members only sales club. This location is in Beacon Hill Shopping Centre in NW Calgary, and was built in 2006. The fire alarm system is original to the store. The panel, most notification appliances, and 99% of the pulls are original.

System Specifications

FACP

The store is protected by a Mircom FX-2000 "fire control system." The fire alarm panel was installed in 2006 when the store was built. There is an annunciator at the entrance, and the main fire panel itself is right beside the returns desk. The system is serviced by Johnson Controls, formerly Tyco Integrated Fire & Security.

Notification Appliances

Most of the notification appliances are Mircom FHS-240R horn/strobes installed in 2006. Two horn/strobes have been replaced, and were replaced with the following: In 2011-12, there was an FHS-240R with its strobe ripped out. It has been replaced with a Mircom FHS-340R horn/strobe. At the photography desk, an FHS-240R broke down and was replaced with a System Sensor "SpectrAlert Advance" PC2R (red, ceiling) horn/strobe in 2017. In the meat packaging, there is a Mircom FHS-240W horn/strobe to blend in with the wall. The freezers, produce and dairy rooms have System Sensor "SpectrAlert" P1224MCK (red, wall, weatherproof) horn/strobes. For outdoor notification, there are two System Sensor "SpectrAlert" S1224MCK (red, wall, weatherproof) remote strobes, one at the entrance, and one behind the store. The SpectrAlert Classics, despite not being Mircom, are original to the store.
