Renfrew Educational Services is a special needs school, with many locations. This particular school is located in at 8620 48 Ave NW, Bowness, in Northwest Calgary. It was built as a large house in 1998, and bought by Renfrew and converted to a school that next year (1999). The fire alarm system is not original, it was replaced in 2020.

There are Mircom MIX-2251AP addressable photoelectric smoke detectors throughout the building. There is also a sprinkler system with waterflow detection.

There are Mircom MIX-M500MAP addressable monitor modules supervising the sprinkler system's tamper and flow switches.
