Anchor Inn and Suites is a hotel located in Twillingate, Newfoundland. It also contains Georgie's Restaurant. The building was built in 1968, and the fire alarm system was upgraded in the mid-1990s.

System Specifications (mid 1990s-present)

FACP

The building is protected by an EST 6616 16-zone conventional fire alarm system. The panel is located across from the front desk. The panel is noticeably in alarm for one zone, but this is not a main board failure. The system coding is likely continuous.

Notification Appliances

Most notification appliances are Edwards 439D-6AWC vibrating bells (6" gong). Captain's Pub has an Edwards 439D-10AWC vibrating bell (10" gong) for additional coverage. There are also EST "Integrity" 202-5A-001 remote strobes (red, wall-mount, 15cd) throughout the hotel. One strobe is resting on a cutout of a ceiling tile, and therefore does not have proper coverage.

Initiating Devices

Pull Stations

All pull stations are Edwards 270-SPO conventional single-action pull stations.

Automatic Detection Devices

There are Edwards 6249C conventional 4-wire ionization smoke detectors throughout the hotel.

Bonus Information

  • The restaurant in this hotel, Georgie's, is very good, and is highly recommended by the staff of this Wiki.
  • This building has the most fire alarm issues ever spotted by the staff of this wiki.
