St. Timothy High School is a junior and senior high school in the neighborhood of Sunset Ridge in Cochrane, AB. It was built in 2004, and the current system is from 2016. Other than the panel, some smoke detectors and the outdoor strobe, everything is original. The school is two floors, and is probably going to get an alarm replacement soon. Simplex NimrodES will try his best.
System Specifications
Panel
The school has an EST QuickStart QS1 from 2016. There was an older EST Quickstart before then, but it failed. It rarely has troubles at all, but usually when the power is out. There is an annunciator at the entrance, but the panel itself is in the caretaker's office. The original QuickStart did continuous, and the current one does code-3 with all strobes synchronized.
Notification Appliances
The main notification appliances seen throughout the school are Edwards MB6-24 motor bells on EST 403-5A-R (15cd) Integrity strobe plates. They can also be found in the library, the music room, and even the changerooms! The gym and shop have louder ambient noise levels, so they have Edwards MB10-24 bells on EST 403-5A-R strobe plates. There are 3 in the gym, and they are very loud. For outdoor notification, there are three Edwards MB6-24 motor bells. One by the hill where stairs to the basement are, one in the staff parking lot, and one in the tarmac. There is also an EST CS405-8A-T (110cd) weatherproof Integrity strobe installed in February 2020, after an older one stopped flashing in September 2019.
Initiating Devices
Pull Stations
Pull stations are all EST SIGA-270, original to the school in 2004. The gym one is missing its glass rod.
Automatic Detection Devices
The smoke detectors are EST SIGA-PS, most are original from 2004, but some are newer.
