Edmonton International Airport (also called YEG Airport) is the airport that serves Edmonton. It is not located directly in Edmonton, however it is located at 1000 Airport Road, Edmonton International Airport, AB, near Nisku. It was built in 1960, and was renovated most recently in 2016. The fire alarm system is from the 2016 renovation.

FACP

The building is protected by a two-stage networked Simplex 4100ES fire alarm system. The panel locations are unknown. The system runs Simplex's IDNet addressable protocol, and is equipped with voice-evacuation, and is two stage. The tones and/or messages are unknown at this time.

Notification Appliances

The notification appliances are mainly Wheelock E50-24MCW-FW speaker/strobes (white, wall-mount, set to 15cd), which can be found throughout the airport. Low ceilings have Wheelock E60-24MCC-FW speaker/strobes (white, wall-mount, set to 30cd). For additional sound coverage, there are Wheelock E50-W speakers (white, wall mount) and Wheelock E60-W speakers (white, ceiling-mount).

The pull stations are Simplex 4099-9004CAB addressable two-stage single-action pull stations.

Automatic Detection Devices

There are Simplex 4098-9714 photoelectric addressable smoke detectors located throughout, mounted on 4098-9792 bases. There is also a sprinkler system with waterflow detection.

Modules

There are Simplex 4090-9001 addressable monitor modules supervising the sprinkler system's tamper and flow switches.
