Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise is a luxury historic 5-star hotel located at 111 Lake Louise Drive, Lake Louise, Alberta. It was originally built in 1890, and the oldest part of the hotel was built in 1913 as the original wing burned down in 1924. It was then most recently expanded in 2004 to add the Mount Temple Wing, and renovated in 2014. The fire alarm system ranges in age from the 1980s to 2014.
System Specifications (2004-present)
FACP
The building is protected by an Edwards EST3 hybrid-addressable fire alarm system. The panel locations are unknown, but there are several nodes on a network. The system is setup as hybrid-addressable in the Paynter Wing, and addressable in the Mount Temple Wing. The system runs EST’s Signature addressable protocol, and is equipped with voice-evacuation. The system is configured for two-stage operation. The tones and/or messages are unknown at this time.
The EST3 was installed in 2014, replacing a variant from 2004, which in turn replaced an Edwards 8500 with EVAC.
Annunciators
There is an EST 3-LCDANN with an LCDXL1 display behind the front desk.
