Winfield Agriplex is a multi-use building located at 401 6 St E, Wetaskiwin County, AB. It consists of a hall and arena; it was originally built as the Winfield Arena (now Woody Johnson Arena) in the 1950s, and was expanded around 1986 to add the hall. The fire alarm system was upgraded in the early 1980s for the lobby and arena, and is original to the hall; the panel was replaced around 1994.
The system will be upgraded this year, as the panel has failed as of 2023 and therefore the system does not work.
System Specifications (1980s-present)
FACP
The building is protected by an EST 6601 conventional fire alarm system. The panel is located on the south the lobby near the hall, and is also noticeably mounted high. The system coding is continuous. As of October 2023, the panel has suffered a main board failure, and is stuck in alarm. Therefore, the system is no longer functional; the system was last active in 2017.
Notification Appliances
All notification appliances in the lobby and arena are Chubb 960-1033 vibrating bells (10” gong). There is also one installed outdoors for exterior notification.
The hall has Edwards 439D-6AWC vibrating bells (6" gong)

Automatic Detection Devices
