The building is protected by a Simplex 4100ES addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located in the main entrance vestibule. The system runs Simplex’s IDNet addressable protocol, and is equipped with voice evacuation. The evacuation signal is unknown at this time.
This panel was installed in 2016 as part of a campus-wide network upgrade, and replaced a Simplex 4100+. This panel is installed in the 4100+ cabinet.

The South Learning Centre has Wheelock E-9070-LS-24-CFW speaker/strobes (white, ceiling-mount, 70V, 15cd).
The Shaw Theatre has Simplex 2902-9711 remote speakers (red, wall-mount) mounted on Wheelock VLPS-24 strobe plates (1.5cd).

All pull stations are Simplex 4099-9001 addressable single-action pull stations.
Automatic Detection Devices
There are Simplex “TrueAlarm” 4098-9714 addressable photoelectric smoke detectors throughout the building, mounted on Simplex 4098-9792 bases.
There are Simplex 4098-9756 addressable photoelectric duct smoke detectors on all air handling units, with Simplex 2098-9808 remote indicators mounted on the drop ceiling below each detector.
