It was originally built in 1973 as the Canora School which closed in 1999, and since then consists of The Turkish Canadian Society, and White Hall Day Care & Out Of School Care. The fire alarm system was mostly upgraded in the late 1980s, one pull station and bell are original.

The hallway to the gymnasium has an Edwards “Durabel” 6100D vibrating bell (10” gong), left over from the original system.

There are System Sensor 1400A conventional ionization smoke detectors in most areas.
