Walmart Supercentre (Royal Oak)

From FireAlarmPedia

Walmart is a retail outlet chain. This specific location is in Royal Oak in NW calgary. It was built in 2003, and has its original system. Everything, except a few horn/strobes and a pull station are original.

System Specifications

FACP

The fire alarm panel is an EST QuickStart QS1, original to the building in 2003. The panel has had a few troubles, but mainly during the remodel of the McDonald's in 2019. The system is serviced by Johnson Controls.

Notification Appliances

The notification appliances are a mix of EST Genesis G1R-HDVM (red, wall, no FIRE) horn/strobes and EST "Genesis" G1R-V75 (red, wall, no FIRE) remote strobes. Usually there are two horn/strobes and two remote strobes on each opposite side of a pole, though some are on walls. It looks like some have been replaced, as some have the EST logo and some do not. The McDonald's has a recently installed G1R-HDVM, but is upside down. There are no outdoor notification appliances noticed.
