Queensland Downs School is a former elementary school located at 199 Queen Charlotte Way SE, Calgary, AB. It was built in 1977, and was decommissioned in 2009. It currently houses Horizon Academy Institute.

This is a hardwired system, therefore there is no panel. Since this is a hardwired system, the system does continuous.

Notification Appliances[edit | edit source]

The hallways, cafeteria and office have Simplex 4090-2 120VAC 6" vibrating bells. The gym, however, has Simplex 4090-2 10" vibrating bells.

Pull Stations[edit | edit source]

The pull stations are Simplex 4251-20 "T-bar" pull stations.

Automatic Detection Devices[edit | edit source]

There are Dicon 300BX ionization smoke alarms in the hallways, which were installed in the late 1990s. They are wired into the system, and trip the bells when activated.

The school bell system in this school is also made by Simplex, it's a Simplex 6400.
