Whistler Blackcomb is the largest ski resort in North America, located at 4545 Blackcomb Way, Whistler, British Columbia. It has the greatest uphill lift capacity, and is the busiest ski resort in Canada. The resort opened around 1966. This page will cover the Roundhouse Lodge; the daylodge located mid-mountain. It was originally built in 1980, renovated in 1988 and then expanded in 1998. The fire alarm system was mostly upgraded in 1998.

FACP

The building is protected by a Mircom Series 1000 conventional fire alarm system. The panel location is unknown. The system coding is most likely continuous.
This panel replaced an EST ESA2000.

Annunciators

There is a Mircom RAX-1032TZDS LED annunciator in a BB-1001 cabinet in the main entrance vestibule.

Notification Appliances

Most notification appliances are Edwards 439D-10AWC vibrating bells (10” gong). Most of these were installed in 1988.
There are also some General Signal MB10-24 motor bells (10” gong).
There is a Notifier KMS-10-24A motor bell (10” gong) near the doors to the gondola loading area as a deficiency replacement.
The gondola loading area has an EST 202-5A-T remote strobe (red, wall-mount, 15cd) at the doors, due to higher ambient noise levels.

Initiating Devices

Pull Stations

Most pull stations are Edwards 275-C111 conventional pull stations.
The expansion has Edwards 270-SPO conventional pull stations.
There is a Notifier MPS-950B conventional pull station in the lobby as a deficiency replacement.

Automatic Detection Devices

None noticed, a sprinkler system is present.
