Note: This system supervises all areas of the mall except Hudsons Bay. To see details for that system, click here

FACP

The building is protected by an Edwards EST3 addressable fire alarm system. This is a networked system with many nodes; one node is located in the Walmart entrance vestibule. The system runs Edwards’ Signature addressable protocol, and is configured for two-stage operation. The alert coding is 20BPM, and the alarm coding is temporal.

Annunciators

There is an Edwards EST3-LCDANN annunciator with an LCDXL1 display mounted on a pedestal in the food court entrance vestibule.

Notification Appliances

Main Mall & Tenants

Most areas have Edwards “Genesis” G1-HDVM horn/strobes (white, wall-mount, no marking, set to 15cd).
Some areas, including some tenants and washrooms, have Edwards GC-HDVM horn/strobes (white, ceiling-mount, no marking, set to 15cd).
Some washrooms have Edwards GCF-HDVM horn/strobes (white, ceiling-mount, FIRE marking, set to 15cd).
Some newer tenants have Edwards GCAVWN horn/strobes (white, ceiling-mount, no marking, set to 15cd).
Bath & Body Works has Edwards GCVWN remote strobes (white, ceiling-mount, no marking, set to 15cd).

These are mounted on pillars throughout the store, with 2 horn/strobes and 2 remote strobes, with horn/strobes on 2 opposite sides and remote strobes on the other 2 opposite sides.

Initiating Devices

Pull Stations

All pull stations are EST SIGA-270P addressable two-stage single-action pull stations.

Automatic Detection Devices

There are EST SIGA-PS addressable photoelectric smoke detectors throughout the lower floor, mounted on EST SIGA-SB bases with SIGA-TS4 trim skirts.
Some areas tenants have Edwards SIGA-OSD addressable optical smoke detectors, these can also be found as deficiency replacements.
There are Edwards SIGA-HRD addressable thermal heat detectors by each escalator.
Some other areas have Edwards SIGA-PD addressable photoelectric smoke detectors.
The food court CRU’s have Edwards SIGA-COD addressable carbon monoxide detectors.
All above detectors are mounted on Edwards SIGA-SB bases.

Modules

There are EST SIGA-CT1 addressable monitor modules supervising the sprinkler system’s tamper and flow switches.
There are EST SIGA-CR addressable relay modules serving various purposes.
There are EST SIGA-IM addressable isolator modules on all SLCs.
There are Edwards “SignalMaster” G1M-RM signal control modules on all NACs to allow 4-wire operation for two-stage.

EOLs
