Vintage on 9th is a commercial office plaza located at 4124 9 St SE, Calgary, Alberta. The building was built in 1961, and was extensively renovated in 2000. The fire alarm system was upgraded in 2007.

System Specifications (2007-present)

FACP

The building is protected by a Notifier NFS-320C addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located in the main entrance vestibule. The system runs Notifier’s FlashScan addressable protocol, and the system coding is temporal.
The NFS-320C replaced an AFP-200 in the 2010s.

Annunciators

There are Notifier LCD-80TM annunciators in the north and south entrance vestibules.

Notification Appliances

Most notification appliances are a mix of the following:

  • System Sensor “SpectrAlert” P2415A horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, set to 15cd/electromechanical)
  • System Sensor “SpectrAlert Advance” P2RA horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, set to 15cd).

There are System Sensor “L-Series” P2RLA horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, bilingual lettering, set to 15cd/electromechanical) as deficiency replacements.

Initiating Devices

Pull Stations

All pull stations are Notifier MPS-950B conventional single-action pull stations, wired to Notifier FMM-101A addressable monitor modules.

Automatic Detection Devices

There are Notifier FSP-851A addressable photoelectric smoke detectors throughout.
The janitor’s closets and kitchen have System Sensor FST-851RA addressable 135°F fixed-temperature/rate-of-rise heat detectors.
The main electrical room has a Notifier FST-851A addressable 135°F fixed-temperature heat detector.
Most smoke detectors and some heat detectors are mounted on System Sensor B710LPA bases.
Most heat detectors and some smoke detectors are mounted on System Sensor B210LPA bases.
One heat detector is mounted to a System Sensor B300A-6 base.

Modules

There are Notifier FRM-1A addressable relay modules serving an unknown purpose.

EOLs

There are Notifier EOL-CR end-of-line resistor plates on all signal circuits.
