St. Gabriel the Archangel School is a Catholic school located at 197 Invermere Drive, in Chestermere, Alberta, Canada. The school was built in 2002, and the fire alarm system was upgraded in 2020.

The building is protected by a Kidde VS4 addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located in the caretaker’s office. The system runs Kidde’s GSA addressable protocol, and the system coding is temporal.
Annunciators
There is a Kidde K-RLCD-C annunciator paired with a Kidde K-RLED24 annunciator in the main entrance vestibule.
Notification Appliances
Most notification appliances are Kidde “Genesis” GC-HDVM horn/strobes (white, ceiling-mount, no marking, set to 30 or 75cd).
Some areas, such as the gymnasium, have Kidde G1R-HDVM horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, no marking, set to 15-110cd).
The washrooms have Kidde GC-VM remote strobes (white, ceiling-mount, no marking, set to 75cd).
For outdoor notification, there is an Edwards CS405-8A-T weatherproof remote strobe (red, wall-mount, 110cd) outside the main entrance, and an Edwards WG4RN-HVMC weatherproof horn/strobe (red, wall-mount) at the back of the school.

All aforementioned detectors are mounted on Kidde KI-SB bases.
There are Kidde “SuperDuct” GSA-SD addressable photoelectric duct smoke detectors on all air handling units.
Modules
There are Kidde GSA-CT1 addressable monitor modules supervising the sprinkler system’s tamper and flow switches.
There are Kidde GSA-CR addressable relay modules serving various purposes.
There are Kidde GSA-IM addressable isolator modules on the SLC.
EOLs
There are Edwards EOL-P1 end of line resistor plates on all sprinkler and signal circuits.

The building was protected by an EST QuickStart QS1 addressable fire alarm system. The panel was located in the caretaker’s office. The system ran EST’s Signature addressable protocol, and the system coding was temporal.
Annunciators
There was an EST QSA-1-S annunciator with a QS1-CPU-1 control card and an SL30 LED card in the main entrance vestibule.
Notification Appliances
Most notification appliances were Edwards MB6-24 motor bells (6” gong) mounted on Edwards 403-5A-R strobe plates (15cd).
The gymnasium had Edwards MB10-24 motor bells (10” gong) mounted on Edwards 403-5A-R strobe plates (15cd).
For outdoor notification, there were three Edwards MB6-24 motor bells (6” gong) mounted remotely on 3 sides of the school, and an Edwards CS405-8A-T weatherproof remote strobe (red, wall-mount) outside the main entrance.
