The Link is a low-rise office building located at 19 Royal Vista Link NW, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The building is owned and managed by Opus Corporation. The building was built in 2017, and the fire alarm system is original.

System Specifications[edit | edit source]

FACP[edit | edit source]

The building is protected by a Notifier NFS-320C addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located in the main entrance vestibule. The system runs Notifier’s FlashScan addressable protocol, and the system coding is temporal.

Booster Panels[edit | edit source]

There is a Notifier FCPS-24S8C booster power supply next to the main FACP.

Notification Appliances[edit | edit source]

Most notification appliances are System Sensor “SpectrAlert Advance” P2RA horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, set to 15cd).
The daycare has System Sensor “L-Series” P2RLA horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, set to 15cd) and SRLA remote strobes (red, wall-mount, set to 15cd) in addition to the aforementioned horn/strobes.
For outdoor notification, there is a System Sensor SRKA weatherproof remote strobe (red, wall-mount) outside the main entrance.

Pull Stations[edit | edit source]

All pull stations are Notifier NBG-12LX addressable dual-action pull stations.

Automatic Detection Devices[edit | edit source]

There are Notifier FSP-851A addressable photoelectric smoke detectors in most areas.
There are Notifier FST-851RA addressable 135°F fixed-temperature/rate-of-rise heat detectors in the kitchen, elevator shaft, laundry room and staff room.
All aforementioned detectors are mounted on System Sensor B210LPA bases.
There are System Sensor DNRA duct smoke detectors with Notifier FSP-851A addressable photoelectric heads on all air handling units. There are three duct detectors per floor, for a total of 9.

Modules[edit | edit source]

There are Notifier FMM-1A addressable monitor modules supervising the sprinkler system’s tamper and flow switches.
There are Notifier FRM-1A addressable relay modules serving various purposes.
There are Notifier ISO-XA isolator modules on the SLC.

EOLs[edit | edit source]

There are Notifier EOL-CR end of line resistor plates on all sprinkler and signal circuits.
