The Calgary Fire Department is the fire department serving The City of Calgary. This page will cover Station 11, located at 5506 4 Street SW, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The station was built in 2014, and the fire alarm system is original.

FACP[edit | edit source]

The building is protected by an EST iO500 addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located in the main entrance vestibule. The system runs EST’s Signature addressable protocol, and the system coding is temporal.

Notification Appliances[edit | edit source]

All indoor notification appliances are Edwards “Genesis” G1R-HDVM horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, no marking, set to 15cd).

Initiating Devices[edit | edit source]

Pull Stations[edit | edit source]

All pull stations are EST SIGA-270 addressable single-action pull stations.

Automatic Detection Devices[edit | edit source]

There are EST SIGA2-PS addressable photoelectric smoke detectors throughout the second floor.
There are EST SIGA2-HRS addressable 135°F fixed-temperature/rate-of-rise heat detectors in all mechanical rooms.
All aforementioned detectors are mounted on EST SIGA-SB bases.
There is an EST “Superduct” SIGA-SD addressable photoelectric duct smoke detector on the main air handling unit.

Modules[edit | edit source]

There are EST SIGA-CT2 addressable monitor modules supervising the sprinkler system’s tamper and flow switches.
There is an EST SIGA-CT1 addressable monitor module supervising the kitchen suppression system.
There are EST SIGA-CR addressable relay modules serving various purposes.
There are EST SIGA-IM addressable isolator modules on the SLC.

EOLs[edit | edit source]

There are Edwards EOL-P1 end of line resistor plates on the kitchen suppression system, and on all sprinkler and signal circuits.
