System Specifications (2012-present)

FACP

The building is protected by a Notifier NFS2-3030C addressable fire alarm system. The system is a network consisting of six panels. The system runs Notifier’s FlashScan addressable protocol, and is equipped with voice-evacuation. The system is configured for two-stage operation. The tones and/or messages are unknown at this time, but are bilingual. The system also has the ability to silence alarms in other areas.

FACP Accessories

There are two Notifier ONYXWorks workstation computers on the system.

Annunciators

There is a Notifier graphic annunciator in the lobby. There is also a Notifier ONYX FirstVision firefighters’ display with a touchscreen.

Notification Appliances

All notification appliances are from System Sensor’s “SpectrAlert Advance” line of products.
Most audible notification appliances are System Sensor SPCWA speakers (white, ceiling-mount).
Most areas also have System Sensor SRA remote strobes (red, wall-mount, set to 15/75cd).
The Telus Rainforest has System Sensor SPRKA weatherproof speakers (red, wall-mount) and System Sensor SRKA weatherproof remote strobes (red, wall-mount, set to 75cd).
There is one System Sensor “L-Series” SRLA remote strobe (red, wall-mount, set to 75cd) in the same area as a deficiency replacement.

Initiating Devices

Pull Stations

All pull stations are Secutron MRM-MPG2ID conventional two-stage pull stations. Each station is wired to two Notifier FMM-101A addressable monitor modules.

Automatic Detection Devices

There are Notifier FSP-851A addressable photoelectric smoke detectors throughout the building, mounted on System Sensor B210LPA bases.
There are System Sensor DNRA duct smoke detector housings with FSP-851A addressable photoelectric heads.
There are VESDA aspirating smoke detection systems in some areas.

Modules

There are Notifier FMM-1A addressable monitor modules supervising the sprinkler system’s tamper and flow switches.
There are Notifier FRM-1A addressable relay modules serving various purposes.

EOLs

There are Notifier EOL-CR end of line resistor plates on all sprinkler and signal circuits.
