The Airdrie Fire Department is the fire department serving The City of Airdrie. This page will cover Veterans Blvd. Station, located at 1692 Veterans Boulevard NW, in Airdrie, Alberta, Canada. The station was built in 2016, and the fire alarm system is original.

FACP[edit | edit source]

The building is protected by an EST iO500 addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located in the main entrance vestibule. The system runs EST’s Signature addressable protocol, and the system coding is temporal.

Booster Panels[edit | edit source]

There is an EST BPS10A booster power supply in the main server room.

Notification Appliances[edit | edit source]

All common areas have Edwards “Genesis” G1R-HDVM horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, no marking, set to 15cd).
All dorm rooms have Edwards 683-1CR silenceable mini horns (red, wall-mount).

Pull Stations[edit | edit source]

All pull stations are EST SIGA-270 addressable single-action pull stations.

Automatic Detection Devices[edit | edit source]

There are EST SIGA2-PS addressable photoelectric smoke detectors throughout the building.
There is an EST SIGA2-HRS addressable 135°F fixed-temperature/rate-of-rise heat detector in the mechanical room.
All aforementioned detectors are mounted on EST SIGA-SB bases.
There are EST “SuperDuct” SIGA-SD addressable photoelectric duct smoke detectors on all fan units.

There are EST SIGA-CT1 addressable monitor modules supervising the sprinkler system’s tamper and flow switches.
There are EST SIGA-CR addressable relay modules for fan shutdown.
There are EST SIGA-IM addressable isolator modules on the SLC.

There are Edwards EOL-P1 end of line resistor plates on all sprinkler and signal circuits.
